The Jean Monnet Lecture Series involves guest speakers with a view to exploring different views and approaches of the European Union (EU) as an actor of peace and security, with guests from different countries specialised in topics related to the European Union, allowing space for differentiated approaches, exchange of experiences and debate of ideas.
The roundtable debates are specifically aimed at involving academics and researchers from different Portuguese universities and centers working on issues related to peace and security, security and foreign policy in the European Union, the Neighborhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership within the framework of the European Union. , to the European Union’s relations with Russia, that is, matters related to the thematic objectives of the Center of Excellence.
Policy Cafes aim at a discussion of relevant current issues, from a less academic perspective and more oriented to political decision, functioning as spaces for debate that allow thinking about political recommendations.
