Stefano Guzzini is Senior Researcher on Foreign policy and diplomacy at the Danish Institute for International Studies, Professor at Department of Government at Uppsala University, in Sweden, and Professor and Researcher at IRI, Pontifícia Universidade Católica – PUC-Rio, Brazil. Stefano Guzzini’s principle areas of research has been in international theory, security studies (ontological security), approaches to foreign policy analysis (mainly applied to France, Germany and Italy), as well as with the conceptual analysis and theories of power. More recently, Stefano Guzzini has worked on interpretivist methodologies (process tracing and notions of non-efficient causality) and critical geopolitics as applied to Europe.
