This course proposes to study processes and shapes of external interventions, from its theoretical conception to its practical application in the field, in contexts of humanitarianism, development, security and peace missions. The seminars, therefore, combine an analytical dimension of deepening core debates in the literature with a strong empirical dimension, making use of case studies and practical exercises, which explore different themes. The structure of contents will allow students to better understand the connections between decision-making, policy-making and policy-implementation, and to acquire the skills of critical analysis of processes of global interventionism.
