This year’s Policy Cafe discusses the issues of multilateralism and European security and insecurity, in a context of contestation of the international order. International organizations such as the United Nations, the Atlantic Alliance and the European Union are focus of our attention in the instruments and policies they have been designing to face security challenges. As this discussion takes place in the context of finalizing the ‘Strategic Compass’ within the framework of the EU, this will also be a topic of conversation. The civil society dimension cannot be forgotten and the contributions of NGOs will also be part of the Policy Cafe.
